Strasbourg (in German: Strassburg) is the capital and principal city of the Alsace region in eastern France and is the official seat of the European Parliament. Located close to the border with Germany, it is the capital of the Bas-Rhin département. The city centre is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The hotel is located in a historic building from the Renaissance period, in the heart of the pedestrian zone, opposite the flamboyant Gothic cathedral and the famous Kammerzell House (Maison Kammerzell).
